I have a question about the old Raspbian raspivid.

Asked 2 years ago, Updated 2 years ago, 70 views

I am using an old version of Raspbian for some reason now.
The version is 2012-12-16-heavy-raspbian.
And the equipment used is Raspberry pi1.

The question is why raspivid: command not found when using raspivid.
In the new version, raspivid is included as a standard, and I thought it could be used, but why can't I use it?
The camera module is inserted in the specified location.

What makes me wonder is that the raspi-config has items that allow the use of camera modules in the new version, but it was not in the 2012-12-16 version, so is this the reason?
I really need to do this version, so I would like to solve the problem, so I would like you to help me.

Currently, I don't want the version to change by fiddling with it, so I haven't upgraded the update either.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The Raspberry Pi camera module was released in May 2013. At the end of 2012, I think it's probably the time of development.

I tried installing 2012-12-16- wheezy-raspbian, but
As you notice, there is no camera configuration in raspi-config.

2013-05-25 - The raspi-config in wheezy-raspbian has a setting called Enable Camera.
The previous one was 2013-02-09- wheezy-raspbian, but there is no camera setting.
I think Raspbian older than 2013-05-25 needs an update/upgrade.
