I'm using GitHub, but I wanted to create a .gitignore, so I wanted to write the contents of .gitignore in the create new file and make a commit new file, but I can't press the commit new file button.Do you know why?
Also, you might want to write it locally and push it, but if you create .gitignore in a text edit on a mac, it somehow becomes .gitignore.txt and you can't use it.
Does anyone know why?
I edited the touch
command in a text edit and it worked.
It seems that if you create a new one with a mac text edit, it will definitely be .txt
.
