Is there a technical reason why Google searches change the fade-out speed of reCAPTCHA images?

I use Google in my library, and if you search there, you'll find reCAPTCHA.

At home, you just have to press the check mark to select the image a few times, but in the library, the image disappears and comes out very slowly, and you had to click on the image for about 5 minutes to move on.

I understand that reCAPTCHA distinguishes between humans and robots by clicking the correct image.
Then why is there a difference in the speed of fade-out in the image?
Is there any technical reason?

The latest reCAPTCHA should simply check while they are considered human, but as the number of bots increases, the number of choices you have to make and the weight (waiting time) appears to be set to display the image as you ask questions.

  • Just check "I'm not a bot"
  • Select the specified object (solid = adjacent squares)
  • Select the specified object
  • Repeat the selection until the specified object no longer appears
  • Repeat the selection until the specified object no longer appears (weighted until the image appears)

One of the reasons why the suspicion of being a bot increases is when the judgment is too fast.Waiting time is also a countermeasure. The pattern of questions is fixed to some extent, so even humans can choose in a short time.

"The other is ""when there is a lot of requests"", and because of the location of the library, there may be several search devices in addition to the PC you are operating."

If those terminals are accessing the external network with a single global IP, apparently a large number of reCAPTCHA will be invoked, increasing the suspicion of the bot and potentially forcing complex choices.
