I usually connect the Wimax router to the Internet by connecting it.
When you start virtualbox, you lose your Internet connection.
When you exit virtualbox and reseat the USB, the Wimax router is detected and connected to the net.
Even if virtualbox is not shut down and reinserted, it will not connect.
When I started Virtualbox with the USB memory pointing to it, I thought it might be a problem with the USB itself, but the USB memory continues to be detected normally.
If you look at Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections, the Wimax router, which is normally known as Ethernet 3, disappears the moment you start Virtualbox.
After clearing all network settings on the Virtualbox side and eliminating the virtual NIC, disabling all network devices except Wimax did not show any behavior change.
Re-inserting the USB without exiting Virtualbox causes Ethernet 3 to appear for a moment and disappear immediately.
I reinstalled Virtualbox several times, but it didn't work.

When VirtualBox configures the internal software bridge, it will find the LAN adapter before the USB-connected router.
Perhaps there is an internal LAN adapter that you don't use, but it might be better if you disable it in the control panel (that is, don't let VirtualBox know it exists).
If that doesn't work, I think the only way to do this is to use a cradle and go through the LAN.
