Viewcontroller Appearance in xcode

I'm a beginner studying how to create apps.

There is a gap between the top bar of the ViewController and the bottom view.
There is no gap between screenshots of books and webs, but
Did you mess with it without knowing the settings?

I don't see any particular impact when I'm studying and making samples. I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

If the gap refers to the part shown in red, this is normal.The top bar is a toolbar, so there is a little space to distinguish it from the view.

The fact that it differs from screenshots of books and the web probably means that the books and websites you are referring to are quite old.
