Understanding the Order of Tabs When You Open Multiple Files from the Context Menu

Asked 1 years ago, Updated 1 years ago, 71 views

Thank you for your help.

When you select multiple text files in Explorer and open them from the context menu,
Previously, tabs were arranged in ascending order of file names, but now tabs are arranged in different order after Ver.20.3.*.

·Example
001.txt
002.txt
003.txt
004.txt
If there are any files as above, select them all, right-click on 001.txt, and then click
from the context menu. When you open the file,
|001.txt|002.txt|003.txt|004.txt|
The tabs were opened in the order of file names.

I returned it to Ver.20.2.2 and checked it, and as mentioned above, I was able to open it in ascending order of file names.
Please let me know if there is any way to change it so that it opens in the order of the original file name.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Start EmEditor first, then select Open from the File menu (or press Ctrl+O) to select multiple files.Alternatively, right-click the EmEditor tab and select Align Tabs - Auto Align Tabs from the menu to automatically sort the tabs in the specified order.
