LAN Flat Cable Labeling

Asked 1 years ago, Updated 1 years ago, 66 views

I'm going to label the LAN flat cable of the rack server.
Everyone, how are you doing?

  • Write directly

  • Wrap labels for round cables
(I actually tried it, but of course I can't roll it well.)

Write directly?

Roll up labels for round cables. (I actually tried it, but of course I can't roll it up well.)

I'm sorry that it's not a program but an NW question. Thank you for your cooperation.

As for the purpose of labeling, I think we can use fiber tags.

We recommend strong rack-mount server cables to prevent physical damage.
To avoid damaging the cable by its own weight, consider passing it sideways with cable fingers.

If it's a flat cable, I think it's good to attach a plastic tape so that it's stuck at a 90 degree angle and label the excess part like the flag with magic, which is low cost and doesn't deviate. As a precaution, I think it would be better to choose one that does not become sticky due to aging, or to replace it regularly.
It is also good to change the color of the connection destination so that the rough connection destination can be identified by the color.
