VMware Workstation Player Cannot Enter the Virtual Machine BIOS Settings Screen

VVMware Workstation Player wants to open the virtual machine BIOS settings to enable virtualization, but only the Boot Manager screen appears.

I tried the following, but only the Boot Manager screen was displayed.

  • Restart from recovery items in configuration and restart with UEFI firmware configuration from troubleshooting details
  • In the vmx file, write "bios.bootDelay="5000" and type ESC, Delete, and F1-F12 keys continuously
  • Start with "bios.forceSetupOnce="TRUE" in vmx file

The environment is as follows:

VM software:VMware Workstation 16 Player
Host OS:Windows 10
Guest OS: Windows 11

I don't really understand how the PC boots up.

vmware

From the processors in the VMware Workstation 16 Player virtual machine settings, you were able to configure them in the topic "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI".
However, at VM startup, Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform, and the VM is now unable to boot.
It seemed easier to use Hyper-V than VMs to make WSL work on virtual machines, so after creating virtual machines with Hyper-V, WSL can now be started on virtual machines.
