Questions about PHP MYSQL Interworking

Hello, I'm a beginner in PHP programming.

After receiving the value of the variable name through the parameter,

I want to access mysql and find the name column of the table called database and make the value of the column called txt stored with the name appear as echo.

I am a beginner enough to connect only mysql and php... Help!
