I've just started deep learning, but I don't really understand the concept of weights. Is there any conceptually easy way to understand...

I don't know in detail, but to make it easy to understand, you can think about how much more important or how much influence weight is.
I don't think it's an accurate example, but if you think about it numerically, if the percentage of regular admissions is 70% and 30%, you can think of 0.7 and 0.3 as weights.
Since early admission is more weighted, how much preparation for early admission will have a greater influence on the entrance exam, right?
Likewise, if early admission reflects 50% of school grades, 30% of essay writing, and 20% of interviews, you can think of each weight as 0.5, 0.3, and 0.2, so how much you prepare for school grades will have a greater influence on early admission, right?
