Understanding SPRESENSE Camera Specifications and Focus

Asked 2 years ago, Updated 2 years ago, 456 views

SPRESENSE camera module specifications include
Effective focal length = 2.74 mm and focal length = 1.5 m, focal length = 77.5 to 237.06 cm It says .

I'm not familiar with the camera, but the distance between the camera and the object to be photographed should be within focus. Also, is it correct to understand that it is best to adjust it to 1.5m?

Also, the old document mentioned AF control and manual as camera control.
The new document does not mention them. These focus controls are no longer available
Does that mean?

Thank you for your cooperation.

This camera module doesn't have an actuator, so it can't do auto-focus in the first place. The old document is a clear error.

The fixed focus range (depth of field?) = 77.5 to 237.06 cm, so I think 1.5 m is recommended and the focus is between 77.5 cm and 2 m.

However, in addition to the lens that narrows the aperture, SPRESENSE does not have enough memory to use, so it does not have the ability to take pictures of distant objects with sufficient resolution.I think it's safe to think that those over 77.5cm are in focus.
