Understanding Static NAT Configuration

Asked 1 years ago, Updated 1 years ago, 109 views

After your company has signed up for a fixed global IP address line, you are trying to configure static NAT to deploy video conferencing.
Is it easy to configure static NAT settings on a GUI basis if I buy a commercially available router?
Or do I have to type a command for the setting itself?

I would appreciate it if you could let me know as much as you can.

Yes, you can use a commercially available "home router."Most home routers do not provide a way to configure them at the command line and can only be configured on the GUI.Conversely, if you save the configuration in text and add a new machine, you cannot add one to the configuration file and feed the router.Everything must be set through the GUI, so there are only things that shrimp can't leave in the form of text format.
# If you think the GUI is easy, it's a big mistake.

Commercial routers are high-performance and good, but they need some skill.

By the way, NAPT is not NAT in a narrow sense.Don't get me wrong.

Well, if you only want to do video conferencing, you can do UPnP, and if you have UPnP functionality in the conferencing software, you can do it without any setting (remote assistant is just that).

I don't think I like multi-posting very much.
