There is no DNS management capability, so only IP addresses are available.Even in SAP and Salesforce environments, IP address management is supported, and I get a call when I make a change, but in the case of Watson, can I receive an IP address change notification from IBM?
To run the WATSON Application in your environment
169.XYZ.00.XYZ
How can I get an address like the one shown in ?
A similar question is on the IBM site and the URL of the published endpoint is answered.
Or ping the host gateway.watsonplatform.net at the appropriate URL.
Static IP address when we call Watson API
Iguess you are looking for the IP address for the service.Web DNS
will resolve the endpoint, which for example for the language
translator service is
https://gateway.watsonplatform.net/language-translator/api.
So if you ping gateway.watsonplatform.net you will see that ip address
The web is resolving the endpoint to.
Don't you need to run DNS yourself?
IBM Developer Resources Document also includes a list of endpoints in the API reference for each feature. For example, Natural Language Classifier or Text to Speech.
Similarly, SDKs and instructions in each supported language are provided, so you can use them as a reference.
