Homebrew cannot be installed!

To install Homebrew, at the terminal

ruby-e "$(curl-fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

You have entered , but you are prompted to enter PASSWARD, but when you hit the character key, no characters are entered and only the return key reacts.I have no choice but to press the return key, but when I press it three times, it ends there, so I am troubled that I cannot install it.
