I have tried the step "Workaround No.1" described on the reference page below, but I cannot launch VSCode from the Mac terminal.

There is an explanation that it cannot be changed because it is read-only, so I cannot proceed.
In the first place, the reason why I use the command to start is because even if I look at the file modified in VScode, it doesn't show as modified in the terminal git status.
