The tab text opens and opens in a separate group window.
Tab text is manually set in the order of alignment, so you have to drop it one by one and reset it to a fixed position, which is a waste of time and frustrating.

What happens when you double-click the tab - EmEditor
Tools → Customization → Mouse
Double-click the left mouse button to set the behavior.
New group by default.
If you set this to undefined or something like that, you can avoid it.
