Is the Nifty Cloud mobile backend communication encrypted?

I heard that Nifty Cloud mobile backend can develop apps in conjunction with monaca.

With NiftyCloud's datastore functionality, it seems that you can exchange information between the smartphone application created by monaca and the NiftyCloud server.

Is this communication encrypted?
