About CentOS 6.7 Server Construction

Asked 2 years ago, Updated 2 years ago, 55 views

This is my first time learning to build a server, so I uninstalled Windows XP on my old PC and installed a new CentOS 6.7 (using i386 Live-CD).
I was going to look at various sites and set them up, but I failed at the beginning, so I would like to ask you a question.

I'm about to set up a network, but every site I look at is

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

When I edit , only iifcfg-lo しか exists.

But

# ifconfig

Both /eth-lo 「 and 」eth0 とも appear as seen in .

I made ifcfg-eth0 in network-scripts/ on my own, but it won't connect to the network
You will end up in ?.

I've initialized about 4 or 5 times and tried... but I don't know at all.
I'm a real beginner...

I'm trying to set up a static IP address, DNS, NIC, etc. little by little, but I'm still in a good condition.

Can I make this "ifcfg-eth0" on my own?
Also, I would appreciate it if you could tell me the recommended commentary site and books for beginners as well...

I know it's a very silly question, but I appreciate your cooperation.

Dear take88 Thank you for your comment.
I don't remember the details because I've tried it many times.Sorry...
However, eth-0 found it when I opened the GUI network connection a while ago, so you can now configure IP and SSH to the same network environment!
The static IP specification may have been incorrect...

I'm a beginner, so I might ask you questions in the future, but I look forward to working with you then!

The CentOS installer does not automatically configure the network, so you must explicitly configure the network settings during installation.

In addition, the configuration screen does not automatically enable the network in its initial state, so you must change the items to enable the network.
