Unable to Connect to VMware ESXi 5.5 Host OS

Asked 1 years ago, Updated 1 years ago, 106 views

The host operating system running VMware ESXi 5.5 suddenly pinged down and was unable to connect.

The vSphere client is unable to connect when attempting to log in, but the guest operating system under its control is not pinged down and can log in to the remote desktop.

Currently, there is nothing special about what was implemented for improvement.(Shutdowns and reboots cannot be carried out immediately because they are in operation, and will be carried out later.)
Is there any possible cause in this case?

It may be difficult to communicate with such a system, but if you know it, please reply.

It's just a hypothesis, but

In the case of 1, ESXi may be the cause, but in the case of 2, it may be a network equipment problem, so ESXi reboot may not recover.(In that case, I think it will be a way to clear or restart the ARP table on the L3SW.)

What do you think?
