If you enter kanji on Twitter using the Linux version of Chrome, it will not be confirmed.

reproduction environment:
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Japanese input ibus+mozc (default OS above)
Chrome 88.0.4324.182

When you try to enter tweet on Twitter's web version, for example, enter the following:

Prime Minister.
Good afternoon。

"With the ""Prime Minister"" underlined (not confirmed)" by converting ""Soridaijin"".""If you enter ""Prime Minister"" the underline disappears, but it comes next."""" is underlined and cannot be erased even if you press Enter. (You will not be able to confirm)

This does not happen once you press Enter to confirm that the underline of "Prime Minister" disappears and then type "." or double "." (although that is not a legitimate method of typing).

After this phenomenon occurs, if you click the mouse to confirm it and proceed with the input, the input suddenly disappears completely.

Also, the same symptom did not occur when I did the same thing with Firefox.

Actually, it would be good to confirm the conversion one by one, but it is difficult because the method of omission is ingrained.

There is a way to avoid it, so it's not such a problem in practical use, but I was wondering if I could learn about Japanese input by knowing the cause.

Thank you for your cooperation.
