Does Amazon Redshift data sharing synchronize the data share area if you change the definition of an object?

Asked 2 years ago, Updated 2 years ago, 48 views

If I change the definition of a table or view in a producer cluster with Amazon Redshift data sharing by adding columns, will it automatically be reflected in the table or view in the data share area?

I will add objects to the data share area with ALTER DATA SHARE~ADD TABLE, but if I change the definition, do I need to re-enter the above command?

If you understand, I would appreciate it if you could reply.

I received a reply in English.

Data sharing seems to be automatically reflected on the consumer side even if you change the definition of a table or view, just like insert into a table.
However, if you change the name of the table or view, you will need to re-register with the data share.
