M.2 SSD not detected during Linux installation

Hard drive not detected

When booting Ubuntu 14.04/15.04 media on a system with only PCIe-based m2 drives, the installer may not be able to detect the hard drive (typically, the installer only searches /dev/sdx by default).

NVME Load

NOTE: The user must access the system BIOS (F2 at boot) and change the SATA setting to AHCI.The drive is still not detected after this change.Users should follow these steps:

• Add the following kernel arguments at startup:
  nvme_load=YES

When the

• keyboard prompt appears, press F12.

Press
• Enter to select the language; press
Press
• Esc.
• Change the boot option to add "nvme_load=yes" and remove "quiet splash---".
Press
• Enter
• Displays the NVME drives available in the installer.
  controller:Nvme0
  ports:N1
  partitions:Px

At startup, add the following kernel arguments:
nvme_load=YES

Press F12 when prompted.
